HPW 2026 Woman Rising Scholarship Award – Now Open for Applications!

Hellenic Professional Women (HPW) is thrilled to announce the launch of the 2026 HPW Woman Rising Scholarship Award!

Up to two scholarships per division will be awarded of up to $1,500  to HPW members or their children/relatives pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies during the 2026-2027 academic year.

  • High School Senior Division
  • Undergraduate Student Division
  • Graduate Student Division

Application Requirements

To be considered, applicants must submit the following by April 20, 2026:

  • Completed application form
  • Two letters of recommendation (on official letterhead with the recommender’s signature)
  • One short scholarship essay (details below)

Winners will be announced in May and honored at our annual scholarship brunch on November 28, 2026.  Winners must be present to receive award.

Scholarship Essay Prompt In a short essay of 300 words please reflect on the following: 

Philotimo, a central value in Greek culture, encompasses honor, duty, integrity, and generosity toward others. 

Identify a Greek woman in history or literature who exemplifies philotimo. How do her actions or character reflect these qualities, and how does her example inspire the way you approach your education, professional goals, and contributions to your community.

Note: Essays generated using AI will result in disqualification.
